Question:
Can anyone refer me to their PCP who was willing to refer for WLS in Seattle? I have Aetna HMO!

I know this can be frustrating. My original PCP doctor would not do
ANYTHING to help me with weight loss. I asked for diet pills, no they
weren't any good. I asked about WLS and he about freaked out. I finally
decided to switch. I have a very good PCP, Dr. Michael Timpone but he's in
beavercreek, Ohio. I too have Aetna HMO. After I switched to my new
doctor, on my very first visit, I asked out he felt about it. I was just
trying to get a feel for where he stood on the issue. Surprisely he said
you'd be a great candidate for WLS. He's had 10 of his patients who've had
it done, the worst complication complaint from them was that one had a lot
of diareaha (sp is wrong sorry). He wasn't against it all and in fact gave
me a referral the same day. I was lucky this way, but I would suggest
going to the peer section, looking up your state, and then looking in the
profiles for name of PCPs. Good Luck.
