Question:
Medical Review Board a good sign?
I called today to check on where my pre-deteminiation letter is in the insurance approval process and I was told it has been forwarded to the medical review board. Is this a good sign or just a normal part of the process? — Kim M. (posted on June 19, 2001)

I don't want to give you false hope, for I don't know the name of your
insurance company, are your health conditions. If you're over 100 pds or at
least have a few health problems that can be related to obesity, then most
likely you're home free. They will tell you that you'll have a 30 day
wait, but I was approved in two days. I'll pray that you have the same
results. Give them about three days and call again, plus try to talk to
only one person (a nice person).

I don't want to sadden you or anything but mine did the same thing and it
came out denied. Since then I've sent an appeal and now am waiting to hear
from them again. Think positive and good luck!!
