Question:
Where and how would I get information?
I have a chance to be able to meet with a final review board who will approve or deny my surgey. How can I get some statistics and publication that will allow me to show the board how much I need this procedure. My BMI is >65 and I have high blood pressure. — Chanel S. (posted on June 3, 2001)

I know there is some very good information on the National Institutes for
Health Website related to morbid obesity. There are several other sites
I've seen with lots of good resources - just poke around the net for a
while. I'll also send you my apppeal letter as it has some good
references. Good luck!! I'm 44 BMI and still waiting for my insurance to
respond.

Go to "Alexis Mills" profile. She has excellent research and
reference website addresses listed on her profile. Many are in a printable
format. Go to "Find Peers" and you will see a box at the bottom
of the screen to enter a first or last name to look for. When her name
comes up, just click on it. The websites are waayyyyy down her page in her
journal entries. Good luck.
