Question:
Post-op Lap~The incision under my left breast
HELP! I'm 4 weeks post-op Lap RNY, and the incision under my left breast is awful! It's healing nicely, (Thank God!), BUT it is 'pulled in'. It looks just horrible. I have more bumps and hills and valleys on my belly now than I ever did! WIll this 'pulled in' thing ever flatten out and WHEN??!?! Thanks for your input! I LOVE you guys! — Laurie L. Don't worry. I am five weeks post op and my tummy is so lumpy too!! My doc
explained why it is lumpy...the actually muscular incisions are in
different spots than the skin incisions because they go in with the
instruments at an angle. So, there is swelling where the muscle is healing
and then where the skin was stapled it won't allow it to swell out -- hence
the lumps. However, as you continue to heal AND LOSE weight the lumps will
smooth out. It will just take some time. Good luck!
