Question:
Is there any hope for someone who has overcome VBG twice?

I have had VBG twice. Lost weight both times, but regained it all back. Is there any hope of losing weight again after overcoming this sugery twice?    — Lee Ann K. (posted on April 13, 2001)

Since the VBG is basically a restrictive procedure, maybe you need a malabsorptive procedure to keep the weight off. I would suggest you look into and research the Duodenal Switch, the Fobi pouch and the distal RNY. These may be your best bet for keeping the weight off. Hi, I have had vbg and rny and my staple line has broken down on both. I am now looking for insurance approval and a good surgeon to see if i can have a chance at doing this right. hang in there and keep your head up. i know first hand this is probably something you did not cause or eat around.
