The time frame varies greatly between surgeons. Mine told me it will take
him 1 1/2 to 2 for the lap Rny if he doesnt run into anything unusual and
an extra 1 1/2 for the GB.

My daughter's lap RNY took 50 minutes; my husband's was 60 minutes. My lap
RNY lasted 1 hr 10 min...the longer time was due to significant adhesions
from a previous gallbladder surgery. Surgical times will vary from patient
to patient, and also are directly related to the experience of the surgeon.

I had Lap RNY without gall bladder removal. My surgery took 6 hours
without complications. I was 254 pounds but a lot of belly... Maybe thats
what took so long.
