I would love to know that too.. my fear is though if I find it I will not
be able to pay the premiums. If you find anything out please let me know
too ok? Best of luck.

I have my own medical insurance through my employer, but there is a written
exclusion in the policy. So, while I am waiting on the appeal, I have been
shopping for my own insurance. The problem isn't finding an insurance
company who covers the surgery, it is finding a company that is willing to
underwrite you (cover you) in our present sate of health (being
overweight). I may have found one called Trustmark. I am in the process of
trying to purchase a policy. You can call this 800# and she can give you a
name of an agent in your area who sells Trustmark. 800-947-8888.
I hope this is of some help to you. Also, according to the American's with
Disabilities Act, it is illegal for an insurance company to deny you a
policy based solely on your obesity! Good Luck!

You can also try Pacificare. They have an HMO plan that you get get as an
individual. You deductible would be $1500, max out of pocket $3000. That
part is rather confusing. It cost $161/month for the insurance, but is
about $27 less than I pay with Pacificare CAL COBRA... there is also a web
site: ehealthinsurance.com where you can enter your age and shop the cost
of millions of companies. Most companies will pay for WLS if it is
medically necessary. GOOD LUCK.
