Question:
Do I need to be tested for sleep apnea to list it as a co-morbidity?
I am currently 105 lbs overweight with a BMI of 36 and co-morbidities of asthma, respiratory insufficiency, joint pain, lower back pain, depression, and carpal tunnel syndrome. I have snored my entire life and find that I am often really sleepy during the day, especially when driving. I have killer headaches in the morning. My appointment with the surgeon is on March 21. Can I tell him about these symptoms or do I need to get tested prior to my visit for it to be considered a co-morbidity? Are my other co-morbidities enough? — PT LawMom (posted on March 7, 2001)
