Question:
Has anyone had any experience getting pre-approval with PacficSource out of Oregon?

In speaking in length with PacificSource, they have indicated that they have NEVER approved surgery benefits for Bariatric purposes. They acted like they were very proud of that fact. I have had 3 denials, including a final hearing and still it was denied. They stated that even though there was medical necessity, they still did not cover that surgery and they never would. They stated that it was not a discriminatory issue because ALL clients were denied the same, disability or not. Sucks, doesn't it????
