Question:
Dizziness & Diarrhea & Dr. is closed
I had open RNY 10/31/2000. I drink PLENTY of water every day and stay away from carbs, sugars, and fat as much as possible. I'm VERY careful. I have NO caffine at all. I drink NO pop (soda) at all. I don't drink milk but dairy has never effected me as it does some. I just have no desire for milk anymore where I loved it before surgery. I'm diabetic. Been off all medication since surgery. My blood sugar stays in the 80's & 90's all the time now. My BMs since surgery has been about every 3-4 days till yesterday. I went twice yesterday and twice today. All times it was coal black, loose, and looked somewhat bloody. Last night I stood up from the sofa and got extremely light headed and actually started falling. I fell over on the piano but didn't go clear down. This morning the same thing happened but I didn't fall. Can someone please help me. I really would appreciate it. Forget the doctor and get to the ER. Coal black stools indicate intestinal
bleeding. This is serious...please be seen ASAP...God Bless.

Gary... Do not wait! Call your doctors emergency number... better safe
than sorry. I have had the same reaction with dizzness twice now... I was
dehydrated. Even though I drink 60 oz a day.. my body is having
difficulties.. If you can get your blood pressure taken somewhere today it
will be beneficial when you call your surgeon...try to get it taken when
sitting/laying and standing... low blood pressure/ increased heart rate is
a sure sign of dehydration. Good luck! sandymcelwee
