I am assuming you are already approved ? If so then
pre-op appointments, consist of Blood Work, last minute
information, you may even speak with the person that
will put you to sleep...It is just the final preparations.
Everybody gets nervous it is normal Best of luck to you.

Hi. My pre-op appointment consisted of filling out some paperwork, giving
6 viles of blood, an EKG and a chest x-ray. Then we went to The Olive
Garden and "pigged out" for the last time! I really wasn't
nervous because my parents were with me and I could see how shaken my dad
was about it all. I felt I had to be the strong one...for putting him
through it. I had my surgery 5 days later and although it was about as
painful as I can imagine...I have been on "cloud 9" every since!
Good luck! Must be wonderful having someone to go through this with.

My pre-op visit consisted of talking to anasthesia, bloodwork, urine
sample, weigh in, ekg, instructions for surgery, etc. Think of it as a time
to answer and ask any questions you may have. It is not as bad as it seems.
Good luck. Janice
