I'm assuming you mean during the pureed stage? I did try, because it
seemed like the right size and consistency, but found most often than not
there was just too much sugar.

I bought some thinking I would use it, but really hated the taste and
consistency. I am taking what is left to my sister for her baby. But, some
people do use baby food, and are doing well with it. Good Luck to you.

I used organic baby food which is easily found in any supermarket here in
the northeast. It wasn't bad. It had no sugar. I found a $10 baby food
grinder in a health food store and pureed what my family was eating. That
was better than the bottled baby food. The baby food grinder is a little
plastic thing that washes in a minute and really works. I've also seen
them in baby catalogues like "First Step". Good luck

I was cautioned to stay away from baby food because it is generally high in
calories and carbs. Be sure to read the labels.

Hi, I was going to post an answer much like Cecelia's (i hope i spelled
that right!) I have a baby food grinder that I pulled out of storage from
when my kids were little. I am planning on using that for my puree stage,
that way I can have the seasonings and taste of the foods my family and I
love but in the stage that is appropriate for post op. I hope to find that
it is the TOOL of need. I have my hand blender for my protein drinks.. but
I think that the size of meals in the pureed stage would fit better with
the baby food mill. Good luck!!

yeah, i used baby food, went out an bought about 30 dollars worth, it's
sitting in my cupboard except for say 4 jars...disgusting!!!! No flavor,
bad consistency, try it but buy only a few jars to start off with..make
sure you read labels to, lots of sugar and high calories in most baby food.

I pureed my own meats and veggies and froze them in ice cube trays
which typically hold 1 oz. Then I ziplock bagged them and could
take out as many ounces as I needed for a meal to microwave them.
Good Luck!

I purchased the fruit baby food. I remember the babyfood from my younger
siblings days and the meats were not very tasty. But the fruit is tolerable
and a good portion size.
