Georgia, check with Dr. J. Ken Champion in Atlanta. He did my lap RNY 11/16/99 and I believe he accepts most insurances. You can go to his website at www.drchampion.com. By the way, he is one of the best lap surgeons on the east coast. Good luck, Sandy

Try Dr. C. Daniel Smith at Emory University. He is the Chief of General Surgery at Emory and Emory is one of the best hospitals in the country. I am having surgery with Dr. Smith on 9/27. I trust my life to him and feel very comfortable with his performing surgery. Dr. Smith is world reknown for his surgical expertise. Check him out. Emory's number is 404/778-5000.

Georgia, my surgeon is Dr. J. Ken Champion of Atlanta, GA. He is a thoracic/vascular surgeon who specializes in and is internationally known for his expertise with the lap RNY. My surgery was 3/14/00; CIGNA was my secondary payor, and there were no problems with approval or payment. Good luck!
