Question:
What types of tests are required?

Like...do you have to have an upper or lower GI? What about an endoscopy? Sonogram? Blood work? Anything would be helpful. I go for my first appt next Tuesday Sept. 5th. I guess I just don't want any surprises. I REALLY hope I don't have to have an upper GI...that stuff you have to drink is repulsive!    — Keri A. (posted on August 28, 2000)

Hi Keri, Bad news...my surgeon ordered an upper GI. I also had to have a psych eval, blood work and pulmonary functions test and cardiac clearance (because of history of taking Phen-Fen).

I had to have a psych exam as required by my insurance company, blood tests, and that's all I recall doing.
