Question:
Does anyone have or had approval for a surgeon out of network with Aetne?USHealthcare

Dan, I have Aetna US Access. I had absolutely no problem at all in getting covered for my RNY, and I had a BMI of only 39. I am now having an abdominoplasty and they are coving that too! They are really great. On the RNY, my entire out-of-pocket expense was $500.00. Good Luck!

Hi Dan, I have aetna hmo, they will not allow you to leave network unless your policy allows out of network benefits, but i do know that they will approve this with in network dr's! kimmy g

Hi Dan, I have US Healthcare but it is Options PPO. I did get approval for an out of network surgeon.

Hi, I have the same insurance. I had to go out of net work for my doctor. Everything seems to be going well. My surgery date is 10-19-00.My approval is right around the corner. Good luck to you, and I will let you know for sure. Dri****

I used an out-of-network doctor for my Lap Rny with Aetna. Usually they will cover 70% of the surgeons fee. Make sure the hospital is in the network or you may have an out-of-pocket expense. Good luck...
