Question:
Has anyone been refused for WLS because of not being a good candidate?

I was waiting to hear when my surgery would be (they had all my test
results for 2 weeks). After several attemps to talk with a person not a
machine, I was told I was not a candidate because I had possible beginnings
of lung disease which may require a ventalator after surgery. Also that
because the psychologists reported some depression and anti depressents may
help my energy level where it may help me to lose weight. But I will not
give up! I have talked with post op patients who had open heart surgery
and then had this surgery almost immediately following and another who has
only one kidney. BTC in Ypsilanti said they were not equipped for any
possible emergencys such as a ventalator. What is wrong with this picture?
