Question:
Can Rapid Weight Loss Aggravate Subluxation Problems?
Can rapid weight loss affect a surgically repaired shoulder subluxation problem? — Kelly B. (posted on June 17, 2000)

I would say No to your question about subluxing shoulder... I work in
sports medicine. When they fix your shoulder they are actually tightening
up the capsule that surrounds the joint. You should have done
rehabilitation after surgery to also help strengthen the muscles around the
shoulder for more stability. You did not state what specific surgery you
had. But no, weight loss should not cause any problems, many of the
athletes that I deal with vary in weight. Usually when they are injured
and not playing sports they gain... then they go back to normal activities
and lose the weight again.
