Question:
anyone who has had a revision, please respond...
i had a revision--from a vbg to a rny----three weeks ago, and am wondering if anyone else has had the concerns that i do....does it seem that you can eat more than you should, i know i need to get specific answers from my surgeon, but i am curious --- since the tummy area is the approximate same size (?) that it was pre-rny, is it already stretched from the years that it was a VBG tummy, so am i already starting with a larger than normal (for a virgin wls surgery) tummy ? any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.... — [Anonymous] (posted on April 16, 2000)

I asked my surgeon what he had in mind in revising my surgery, he said that
he would use my exsisting pouch and bypass the intestines. I imediatly
asked him if my pouch would be smaller, Well he took a second to answer me
but he said yes. I'm still pretty skepical, If he's not going to make my
pouch small again, how will i loose weight? This is deffinately something i
will be discussing again.

as much as you did before your revision, I sometimes feel food pass to the
lower part of stomach and I stay hungry and keep eating. Well if you can
no longer use the lower part then it stands to reason that you couldn't eat
as much....I'm still however concerned about not getting a smaller
pouch.....How did they connect the bypass???did they leave your ring
in????How did they close off the other part???sorry to ask so much of you
but thanks again so much...
