Any feedback on their approval procedure and time-frame would be greatly appreciated!

We have United Healthcare POS. My doctor is on their pre-approved list, which probably means little to nothing. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has dealt with this company and any tips on how to get this "squeaking wheel" oiled! :-) Thanks!    — Kay M. (posted on March 15, 2000)

I agree with Hiedi.....My Surgeons office told me today that United was one of the easiest insurance companies to deal with for WLS....They stated that they all cheer when they hear Uniteds name. All you need is your doctors approval.....hope this helps

United Healthcare approved me within 3 days. I called United and found them very easy to deal with. My surgeon sais they were fairly easy to deal with however, they dont always pay quickly. Call ahead of time and get the process rolling for yourself..Good luck, kim
