Question:
Anybody with Dermatomyositis, Polymositis or Lupus have a flair up after surgery?

I was diagnosed with Dermatomyositis when I was 22 and was on prednisone for four years. I have been in remission and off the steroid for about 8 years and have never had a flair up in that time. I'm a little worried that the stress of the surgery and quick weight loss might cause a flair up of the disease. Does anyone have an experience they can share with me? Thanks!    — Kellie L.
