Question:
Is there a memorial website devoted to the people who died as a result of WLS?
Im post-op now and I feel fortunate that I made it through surgery without any major complications. However, I cant stop thinking about the people I read about who had died as a result of WLS. I keep thinking that it could have easily been me and how I wouldnt have wanted to be forgotten after I was gone. I want to remember them but people dont seem to want to "dwell on the negative" so to speak. I dont think its right for us to just forget that these people ever existed and wish there was a website devoted to them so that we all could keep them in our thoughts. — [Anonymous] (posted on November 29, 1999)

You are right. It is so important to 'pay tribute' or remember those of us
who were brave enough to take the risk but never lived to see the jublious
results the rest of us may see.
I found these links many months ago when doing my wls research, As I too
believe it is so important to take the good with the bad and to have no
blind eyes.
It is such a good idea to have one big site for wls memorials. But these
are the only ones I have found so far. These men are true hero's and will
always be our wls 'Angels'.
