I have meet ONE successful VBG. Done in 1981, she still weighs 130. I have
met over 100 people who never reached goal. Too easy to out-eat this
procedure. Sorry I can't be more encouraging!

I had a transected gastroplasty done in June, 1999 by Dr, Bonta in
Columbus, OH. I have lost 73 pounds in 4 months. Dr. Baonta has had only 2
people fail to lose at least 60% of their excess weight in the 5 years he
has performed this surgery(according to his assistant) I think that what
surgery will work depends on your individual circumstances. I was a big
complex carb eater, and this surgery has been very effective in combating
this. It is a great tool! Hope this helps!

I chickened out with Dr.I.Sanderson i didnt feel comfortable with him and
he wouldn't rebook me so I found another doctor Dr. Patrick Yau and no
waiting list he took me right away they called Sandersons office and had my
referal sent over along with my tests and that was in mid Dec I am going
for surgery on Jan 26 this month /2000 I also found out that I didnt need
to be cut open he is doing it by Lapriscopic surgery I will only have 5
little punture spots instead of a big insision I belive the surgery will
work for you if you work for & with it you can't eat junk food because
then it wont work I dont want to become over weight again so I am going to
watch what I eat my aunt had Sanderson do her surgery in 96 and she told me
she has an awfull insision from it she has just gained 20lb but she is
eatting junk like crazy ice cream milk shakes why would someone do this
after all they went threw and yes they cut part of the stomach away but it
joins back at the bottom that is the same one I am haveing but by Lap no
big insision then if you want more info on Dr Patric Yau just e-mail me ok
he is also joined by another Doctor Dr.J Joffe so you get the medical
attention of 2 doctors instead of one and he makes you feel so comfortabe
he is great !!!5 STAR ..MY e-mail [email protected]
