Sometimes they want you to lose 10% to make surgery easir with less
complications. They also want you to do this to prove to them that you can
and will stay on the sellected program. Like have you've stopped smoking, a
perticular for bing put under for surgery. So if this is really a life
change for you, then get with the prigram unless it's just something to
look better. Once you've shown your on track with the program even if
you've haven't lost 10% they'll progress with you. Your last update was in
2004.

I read your profile updated 8/5/05. And from what I read you've already
lost 5%,and you only have 5% more to go.
My PCP, told me what really counts are the calories consumed. So what I've
been doing is measuring out what I eat. Like today, we had speghetti for
lunch,so I got the measuring cup out and measured 2 cups of speghetti.
That was all I had. 2cups might be too much, but it's better than the 3 or
4, I'd normally have.
I too am a single mother of 2 boys. So I know what it is not to have money
for the gym. Just remember, if you don't lose the weight, you may have the
complications you mentioned, and we dont' want that.
The street is free, the stairs are free. The He!! with what people think
and the way they look, I'd say more power to us for getting out there and
walking. Develop an attituted that reflects you. Your not going to take it
any more, Your finally doing something about it.
And don't forget water really gets things moving. When I don't drink my
water it seems like I retain water. And put on water weight gain.
I hope I've helped. Always give yourself credit for what you've
accomplished, and forget about what you failed at least you've tried, and
that is what counts.
