Question:
Is anyone else waiting for approval and DEPRESSED?

WAITING FOR APPROVAL IS PROBABLY THE HARDEST THING BESIDES THE SURGERY ITSELF. AFTER WAITING TWO WEEKS I WAS DENIED BUT DID NOT GO DOWN WITH A FIGHT. AFTER APPEALING AND THEN WAITING ANOTHER MONTH AND A HALF THE DECISION WAS OVERTURNED. I FELT THE SAME WAY ACTUALLY VERY SICK AND DEPRESSED ABOUT THE WHOLE THING, BUT I TRULEY BELIEVE GOD WAS ON MY SIDE AND GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT. BE PATIENT YOUR TIME WILL COME. BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!

Waiting is the hardest thing. I had to wait 8 months between the time I applied and the time I actually got the surgery. Approval came in 6 months. I would suggest getting some structure to your life while you're waiting. Get yourself on an exercise plan. Get yourself on a structured eating program--it will be a good indicator of how well you're going to abide by the rules when you have the surgery and have no choice. Get on a vitamin program and get yourself in the best possible shape for surgery and it will be much easier on you to fall into a routine after the surgery.

Whew!!! the wait is excrutiating, hope I spelled that right. I know how ya feel. I'm almost 4 years post op, and I still can remember how I drove myself and the rest of my family totally insane with the waiting period. I'm a believer of giving all of my problems and worries to God. Pray with your family, and ask that He shows you favor in the decision and makes it snappy, haha. I wish you the best and I will pray for ya too.

I waited only 4 weeks for first approval to have consult and then was 9 weeks to hear for final approval. I finally called my insurance AGAIN, finally talked to the right person and found out they has lost my files...no one had them. LivLite faxed it out immediately and I got my approval yesturday in a matter of 2 hours... now waiting for date, that should come tomorrow.. but I was totally depressed waiting. I was anxious too and extremely moody.. call your insurance company every 2 days or so..
