Dig through this website and find another WLS in your area. See a dietician who deals with WLS patients. Your malabsoprtion would typically not get more. Over time your small bowel figures out how to absorb more, not less. It would seem that you are more than likely not eating enough or the right foods, or exercising too much. But it is important to get things checked out. Your PCP can order any tests and check you out, but it would be best if you saw a WLS. Good Luck!

If your labs have been stable for years (ie, there hasn't been an steady decline that eventually took you out of the "normal" range), and you're eating well and taking all your vitamins, then maybe it's not the WLS? Has your PCP run other tests to determine if something else could be causing this?

Dr. Olchowski left the state under mysterious circumstances.. Maybe you should check with New Hanover Regional Medical Center, which settled a number of lawsuits over the Dr's work, maybe your problems are related somehow? http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/mld/myrtlebeachonline/news/local/11726100.htm http://www.wfmynews2.com/news/local_state/local_article.aspx?storyid=41664

Dear Harriett: If you do not have a Primary Care Physician, please consider going to the nearest hospital ER and having a physician check you out immediately! Also, contact the hospital where you had your WLS and ask them who is directing their bariatric surgery program these days and see if working with her/him is a useful option. Lovingly, Lauralyn

If you write to me privately, perhaps I can help you build a program to fit where you are today. I'd need to know which surgery you had, what you have been doing for supplementation, and your labs, if you've got 'em. If you don't have them in hand, get them.

I too had this problem, and the new nutritionist I went too gave me some ideas on products that really made a huge difference in my bloodwork results and how I felt. Now Im in great shape and feel sooo much better. Please email me and I will give you the specifics on the products. By the way, they are all-natural and easy to digest. Dreama
