blue cross of ca.. has anyone got a DS approved this year.

Hello. I have blue cross of ca and was just wonder if anybody has got an approval for the Duodenal switch, if yes where there and pre-req. I have a bmi of 45 and wonder if they will approve? thanks to all Pittlo Girl    — pittlo G. (posted on May 27, 2005)

I was approved Dec of last year but I do not believe the policy has changed. I qualified on BMI alone as it was 56 it think??? You may still want to send up any diet history doctor advised and what you did on your own. That is all sent to them. I hope this helps and Good Luck!
