Question:
What does your BMI need to be in order to qualify for insurance coverage of LAP-BANDI

You would need to check with your insurance company. They all differ. Most
say that they will not cover a bypass unless you have a BMI of 40 or above,
or 35 and over with comorbs. I had a BMI of 34.4 when I had mine done. So
the best I can tell you is call your insurance company.
Good Luck,

My clinic and insurance went by the general rule .. BMI of at least 40, but
they will consider as low as 35 w/significant comorbidities (sleep apnea,
diabetes, etc.)
