Question:
does anyone out there have a list of liquid diets to continue loosing
my best friend had the gastric by-pass surgery about 8 months ago and instead of loosing is gaining, and wants to go back to liquid diets but dislikes the drinks available, any suggestions? — Lily2001 (posted on March 17, 2005)

If she is only 8 months out, I would suggest that she go back to the
basics. Do a week of clear liquids and protein drinks. Then start out
eating lite with lots of protein and water. That worked for me, hope it
will for your friend.

I may be able to help you with the liquid diet delimma. I started my own
business on line a few months ago. Since then, by using the products that
I sell on the internet, I have begun to loose weight again (thank God). I
use two protein shakes perday, and the double X vitamins twice a day, there
is also a 30 day diet program that can be utilized. There have been great
results with that too. I have a huge line of meal replacement bars,
protein bars, protein shakes, protein powder, and many, many other products
to enhance weight loss and management. Check out my site at:

questions I would be more than happy to talk to you about this, you can

I've ordered lots of things from a site: bariatriceating.com. They have
protein drinks that are fruity and VERY good. Also they have a product
called AcheivOne Latte, which has 20 gms of protein and tastes like a
Starbucks iced coffee. I drink one every morning first thing. Hope this
helps.

Personally, as a post op, I'd NEVER go back to a liquid diet again. I did
those, and fasting, as a pre op. They LOWERED my metabolism so I needed
WLS. If you screw up WLS, where do you go from here? (Or your friend).

Interesting, this happen to my next door neighbor, but she was drinking
alcohol (again)! At first the weight dropped, but then something happen
and she began to gain - is not waiting for a revision (but was not honest
about her alcoholism) - maybe this is not your friend, but I would
definitely go back to the surgeon - maybe something is wrong surgical wise?
