Try visiting a Chiropractor or Doctor of Ostiopathy (DO). If adjustments
don't get you relief, then you will want to go back to your PCP for
additional suggestions. Most Muscular skeletal misalignments can be helped
with therapy and spinal adjustments.

Pain in your butt could be sciatica. That is pain caused by back problems.
You should see your doctor. Good luck.

Does the pain in the butt travel down into the leg? I've had this and it
is sciatica.

I've had the same problem since surgery and the regular visits to my
Chiropractor have eased it considerably. His reason for the pain was with
the weight loss there is a lot of postural changes going on. I don't have
pain that radiates down my leg though so that's how we knew mine wasn't my
sciatic nerve.
Good luck!

I haven't had RNY yet but lost about 50# 3 yrs ago and had same butt pain,
it did go down leg if I didn't change my position,or stand for a while. I
swear it was caused when I lost wt. (had less padding). It eased after a
few months but came back when I fell...**Stand or sit on soft--helps
