Question:
I get frequent nausea, surgery 7/2/02
Could this be the 'stomach' flu, it has been coming and going for two weeks, i've had it before, drinking lots of pepto and chewing tums by the handfuls... very discomforting. My surgeons office refuses to believe it has anything to do with 'his' surgery. Any recommendations on nasea going away is really appreciated. — deb F. (posted on January 21, 2005)

You probably need to get your pouch checked out by a gastrenterologist just
to reassure yourself. Be careful with pepto bismal. I was told it can
irritate our pouches, so I've always avoided it.

I was having problems with frequent nausea (surgery 2/10/03) and it turned
out to be a couple of small ulcers. This was after going through all kinds
of tests and suffering for about a month or so. Finally the
gastroenterologist diagnosed it. I am now on Carafate, Protonix and Reglan
as needed and feeling much better.
Best of luck.

I was having some awful bouts of nasea and my doctors office said to try
taking b-6 as directed on the bottle and it's working.
