Probably, and knowing your surgeon he is awesome and used to be in
pittsburgh. Are you a smoker? If so theres no way till you quit permanetely
and forever. Smokers tend to get hard to treatr cronic ulcers...

I know that most surgeons will require the ulcer to heel before they will
cut you open. Best Wishes

Sure can.. as long as it is not currently bleeding, they will want to let
it heal first. Matter of fact, my surgeon is bypassing my 2 ulcers! LOL!
That is such a perk to my surgery!

They found I had an ulcer just before surgery and my surgeon wanted it
healed up as much as possible before doing surgery. Luckily mine was on
the upper portion of my stomach so he said he would still do the surgery
even if it was not 100% healed. If it had been on the lower part of my
stomach he would not have done it until it was 100% healed up.

I was a walking/talking ulcer factory. My ulcers were healed before
surgery. Today, our docs here do an upper endoscopy and biopsy for h.pylori
before all surgeries. They fix ulcers before surgery.
