Question:
Anyone have itchy thighs?
I am almost 8 months post op and have lost 92 lbs. My thighs are horrible and have tons of hanging skin. For the last few months the skin on the inside of my thighs has been sooooo itchy! Could it be that the retracting skin is causing this? It drives me crazy! Anyone else have this problem? It wasn't even this bad when my thighs meshed together. — champagne3456 (posted on April 9, 2004)

i have had itchy skin for about 3 weeks, my back, my stomach, my face,
etc... legs haven't started yet, so don't give 'em any ideas. my doc and
the folks at support group are clueless... seems like this is a new one. i
have increase my Vit E, but it's not made much differance. Try Avveno
Bath, it feel good and then make sure your not eating comething new that
you might have an allergy to. i am going to see my dermotologist in a few
weeks to see if she can shed some like.
one thought.... bget your dr. to document it and it may help you build your
case for insurance approval for plastic surgery!!!
good luck!

Me too! Flappy skin, more moistness from exercising, etc. I'm getting
rashes and even a few boils, I think down there. Saw the dr. yesterday and
he gave me some prescription strength hydrocortizone for it, which seems to
at least be decreasing the itching. I have also heard, however, of people
developing a yeast rash (yes, they can happen anywhere) and having to have
a special ointment for that. Gross, yes, but see your doctor who might be
able to give you something, and get it documented so that if you need it in
the future, you might be more likely to get approved for a thigh lift! I
know you might be able to handle this on your own, but the documentation is
key if you decide you need PS later on downt he road. Personally, I'm down
170 and itching like nuts!
