Hi Janey, I too am a smoker and have tried everything in the book (except
for the inhalers, which is next on my list). My experience with the
lozenges (on my peviously cast iron stomach) was horrible. I had problems
with gas, diarhea, bloating, etc. The same thing happened when I tried to
use the gum. The patches, while they worked great, posed a different
problem. I found that I was alergic to the adhesive and ended up with
patch size blisters and subsequent scars. The absorption facter with those
would not be an issue since it is through the skin not your intestines.
Good luck in your search to find something that works for you. Cindy

Hi Janey,
Ask your Doctor about the Nicitrol inhaler. I'm still pre-op, have smoked
for 27 years. I used the inhaler just a few times, and now am both smoke
free and nicotine free.. The inhaler what the best thing!! I was shocked
and amazed how it helped. Was on the patch for 4 weeks and still wanted to
smoke. (the habit) The inhaler helped with the habit too. Still, if I
feel like a cig, I pop that inhaler in my mouth, no nicotin, and I still
have the reflexes of a smoker just not the smoke and best yet, no nicotin!!
Hope this helps.. I swear by it now!!
