skin removal after surgery

I want to know if blue cross blue shield ppo gov. employee program insurance covers abdominoplasty after gastric bypass surgery for those with lots of excess skin?    — Jennifer H. (posted on February 15, 2004)

I have Blue Cross PPO as a county employee and I haven't had my excess skin removed yet but I work with another lady that did. She was denied the first time but once the doctor submitted pictures of her awful rashes she was approved in about 2 hours. She loves her surgery and would do it again in a heartbeat. I am praying my surgery, when needed, will be approved right away. I believe the policy that our employers purchase (local or regional governments) include this in their plans because they know their employees want the services. God bless you and good luck.
