Question:
Any good consignment shops?
Do any of you know of any good consignment or second hand shops in the Los Angeles area? I'm on a very strict budget and need new clothes in smaller sizes. So far I've been unsing my sewing machine and altering everything but the clothes are starting to look distorted and I think it's time for me to find some stuff. — SomerGarza (posted on January 21, 2004)

i have been using Goodwill stores. They are in every city in the united
states and have some great prices. Cheaper than consignment. A lot of
their stuff still has tags on it and is name brand or barely used. I
recently got A Pendelton blazer which normally sells for about 150-200.
dollars for 3.50 and a Sag Harbour one for the same price. Several nearly
new sweaters for 2.50 each. I have seen business suits for 3.75 each.
Just watch what you buy. I mean, check all the garments seams and check
every inch of the fabric to see if there are any stains. Several people on
the obesity site shop at Goodwill. Happy hunting!!!!

You may also try garage sales. They will usually list what kind of
clothing they have in the add in the paper. Then there is always ebay.

Have you ever tried Deseret Industries!! This is operated by the LDS
(Mormon's) church. It usually has nice things and is reasonably priced.
