Question:
Looking for good plastic surgeon in Houston

I'm almost 2 years postop and I'm looking for a good plastic surgeon in Houston. Has anyone had their's covered under BCBS? Namely a breast lift and thigh lift. Thanks for any help you can give!! Best of luck to all of you!!    — auntsandy (posted on January 19, 2004)

Hi Sandra, My mom is a nurse and used to work for Dr German Newel in Houston. I know several people in my family that he has done PS on and they had fabulous results. I don't know about what insurance he takes or any of that, just know he is good at what he does. If I was still living in the south I know I wouldn't hesitate to go to him. Hope this helps. Dr. Cash is a very good plastic surgeon and is offering discount to wls patients. I belong to a support group at memorial city Herman and she was last month's guest speaker. One of the member just had her breast lift on Weds and she would highly recommend this doctor. check out yahoo groups, HARNYSSG, Houston area RNy surgery support group or attend a meeting the 2nd sunday each month at Hermann City Memorial, 2-4pm. Hi- I just had my consoltation with Dr John LoMonaco yesterday and he was awesome. He seems to really care and has great bedside manors. His office staff is very nice as well. Hi Sandra, I had a consult with Dr. Michael Chaney last summer. Didn't end up having the TT due to finding out I'm pregnant. But my insurance, Anthem BCBS, did approve the TT, but they denied the breast lift as cosmetic. I really liked Dr. Chaney, his offices are up off FM 1960, so it would be a drive from Pasadena. (BTW, I'm in the La Porte area)
