Question:
Where did you get the corset and how much did it cost?

Do you mean an after surgery binder? I don't know if those are used much anymore.

Well, there was some talk awhile back on the Q&A about corsets, but I thought they were talking about the actual old-fashioned kind - whalebone and all that (although they probably don't make 'em out of that anymore!) I'm totally clueless where you would buy one since I'm not that interested in them. Maybe search the library under corset and try e-mailing one of the posters to that question as to where they bought theirs.

For an open RNY, I can't imagine NOT having a binder. It really makes a difference in how you feel physically when sitting up and/or walking after surgery. Mine was on me when I woke up from both of my surgeries, but I would imagine the doc can order one for you if he doesn't routinely use them. After a few weeks tho, they don't make a whole lot of difference IMO

I had to go to a "naughty" store to buy mine. Someone later suggested a bridal boutique...didn't think of that. It was very expensive...at 50% off I still paid over 160.00. It is the pretty old fashioned looking kind btw. Best of luck. Kim open RNY 7/17/01 282/140/125

I bought mine at Lovefifi.com. It cost 46.99 plus shipping. Orchard Corset website also has some nice and inexpensive ones. I did buy one that laces up the back and has a hook and eye front. It helps immensley.

JCPenney, the one I got costs $19.99, but I got it on sale for $15.99!!! It goes from the top of your panties to right under your bra! I LOVE IT! It makes me have a waist and no rolls at all!
