Question:
Has anyone had any success with medical paying for any excess skin removal??
Has anyone overeaten postop and feeling that you may have stretched your pouch?? I'm worried I seem to be able to eat and have NO problems. Have held steady with my weight loss but its been hard. I am just a year out. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. What about revisions ?? Thanks MD — Marlene D. (posted on December 8, 2003)

Hi Marlene, hon we all feel the same way, worried that we are going to blow
this surgery, but we do have some help with this surgery, and we can choose
to control it, as for myself, and I'm sure lots of others on here, carbs is
my biggest downfall, I am 2 years out oct 15 01, 278/150 5 5 1/2 if I don't
eat the carbs, breads, pasta, potatoes, any starches, keep it to just
protein, salads, fruits, I am fine, but as soon as I start on the carbs I
never get filled up, and want to eat all day. I am trying to lose this last
10 pounds, would love to be 140, that is just my personal goal. As for the
excess skin, I had the first tt/hernia June 02, Jan 03 I had the tt scar
done again, various lipo's, and just 2 weeks ago, had my lower area done
again under my tummy which just did'nt want to lay flat, so hopefully I am
done with that. I am in a size 10 jeans, 10-12 dress, small-med tops, my
oldest daughther who has always been a bean pole gave me a bunch of
sweaters, christmas ones etc, and she is so happy for me, all my (4) kids,
and 11 grandchildren are still trying to get use to grandma thin, hope this
all helps you, write me if I can be of any encourgement, Susie
