UHC has most of their claims department working from home. They supply you with everything, computer included. Only catch is you have to work in the office through your training and until you get up to speed. That being said, there are MANY companies that allow this sort of working environment now. It is the 'corporate' opinion that those working from home are more productive.

Have you thought about home daycare? That is what I do and it isn't hard to get started. Contact the Department of children and families about licensing, The demand is high and you can set your own salary.

I work for a company in NC that compiles mailing lists and handles bulk mail for businesses. There are some companies like ours that use independent data entry researchers. You may want to check your yellow pages for "marketing" or look for mailing list companies. You can start by calling them or sending a resume. Not all marketing companies hire people to do work at home, but there are some who do. There may be a little cost involved such as ordering disks from the local Register of Deeds offices (usually about $5 each), but that should be your only expense and it would be reimbursed with the pay you would receive. I wish you luck in your search.

Hi, I'm a medical transcriptionist who has been working full time at home for about 8 years. Medical transcription is a difficult field to get into, but once you are in it, you always have a job...and a great paying one, too. I would suggest that you start by taking a course...either a correspondence course (I recommend At-Home Professions) or a course at a junior college. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to Email me. Teresa

My husband and I was introduced to Pre-Paid Legal Sevices is the way to go, it changed our lives, and in the process we help others, no household should be without legal representation, this service cost less than $.90 per day. Independent Associates are making $$$$$$, and the services helps families who otherwise wouldn't consult attorney advise because of the hourly cost. For opporunity movie and membership information go to: http://www.prepaidlegal.com/go/lcogburn for membership movie and information only: http://www.prepaidlegal.com/info/lcogburn this go site gives you a lot of information, if anyone is in becoming an Associate in his/her State contact me for more information, my contact number and email address is on the site. Marie, There are many places such as local colleges that offer low cost classes on medical transcribing. Try those. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign up with an Internet owrk at home sites. They are all scams. You could also contact your local Learning Annex or WorkSource Center. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I'm a medical transcription student. I chose M-TEC as my school after a long research process. Their website is at http://www.mtecinc.com . They have different tiers of programs depending on your background and whether you're planning to work from home. Another good website for medical transcription information is at http://www.mtchat.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi .

I sell Mary Kay cosmetics on the side and love it....the products are wonderful, and consumable...you can hold facials in your home or in the evenings or the days you can have the car....I make about $300 a month on reorders...I don't even need to hold parties or facials...In your local phone book look under Mary Kay and call one of the directors listed in your area. You can even earn use of a free car including insurance! It is a positive life changing company to work for. Plus you can order all your cosmetics and skin care products at 50% off! Feel free to email me with any questions.

Hi there, There are two work at home companies I swear by. One is Avon. YOu only pay 10 dollars to get started and everyone knows and respects Avon. It's fun to sell and I have sell it myself. The other is SMC, which is bit more of an investment. You pay 30 bucks down and 30 bucks a month for 10 payments. After that, you only pay 30 dollars a year to maintain your membership. The prices on the products are DIRT CHEAP, they have nice home decor, incense, candles, jewelry, etc. Feel free to email me if you want to learn more about either and good luck. I also got a degree from Baker College in Medical Transcription and type medical reports at home. It really pays good money. Lorrie Plate Flint, MI [email protected]
