Question:
has anyone taken nyquil gel caps for a cold?

I am 5 weeks post op and I have felt myself coming down with a cold. I took liquid gelcaps and now I feel better. Has anyone else taken this for a cold if not what did you take?    — Consuella G. (posted on November 11, 2003)

I've taken regular nyquil for a cold and it promply knocked me on my behind! It made me DRUNK. However, my cold symptoms felt better and I slept like a baby.

I've been taking them since about 3 months post-op. I'm 2 years post-op and still taken them when needed. I haven't had any problems with them.

Anything other than a tablet isn't supposed to work on us, we don't have the stomach acid to break down a gel-cap or a cpasule so I wouldn't be suprised if it is just "going through" I would use regular Nyquil to make sure.
