Hi Sheri, I might be a patient of Dr. Duncan. I've attended his Intro Seminar and have submitted my paperwork by fax, by hand delivery and by mail. (Can you say anal retentive? LOLOLOLO) From my understanding Duncan will make sure you really understand the risks of WLS and answer any questions you have. Go organized and prepared, have you list of questions written out and ready for the Dr. With the anethesia consult, they are most concerned about your past surgeries and how you responded to the anethesia. And how you respond to all medicines, ie. allergic reactions, hypersensitivity, or maybe you have to take double the recommended about of something to get any response. To me, this is the most critical of the two sessions. Anethesia is what holds you between life and death during surgery. Again, have all your questions ready and make sure they understand how you respond to all medicines. Example, when I've had surgeries in the past they put me "too deep" (give me too much drugs). It doesn't take a lot to put me under and keep me there because I do self-hynosis before hand and am totally relaxed and prepared for the surgery. Good Luck! I hope to be where you are before too long. I'll call their office next week to make sure I finally have a File.

My meeting was on October 3rd. New Birth date, October 6th On the 20th you will have a individual meeting with one of the doctors, then you will be sent to the room by Keva's office for a question and answer session. Take a pen you will want to take some notes. This time will be spent with all three aspects of your recovery, Nutritional info, exercise, and surgical. When Dr Duncan comes in be prepared for the worst. He is going to tell all the good, bad and ugly of this surgery, tell you what to watch for on complications. This meeting will last about 3 1/2 hours. Take any questions you can think of with you. The anesthesia consult was about 2 hours.
