Question:
Is it possible for the stoma to close at 5 mos. out? I have been getting queasy

after I eat anything for the last few days. I have had no problems until now and can still swallow pills and drink liquids. Any ideas? Thanks open rny 6/3/03 - 75 lbs    — Jannie N. (posted on October 28, 2003)

I started getting nauseated and vomiting at six months post-op. I had an endoscopy done and an internal suture had worked it's way into the pouch and was blocking the stoma. The doctor clipped the stitch and after receiving some IV fluids because I had gotten dehydrated, I was fine.

You can get a stricture at any time but the main symptoms are having a stuck feeling in your chest after eating or drinking and vomiting.
