Question:
I'm about 20 months post op and need to lose about 10-15 more lbs..
I haven't been eating right so I haven't lost any weight for months and months - just been maintaining. Well, now I'd like to drop the last ten or so, and want to know if anyone has been able to lose again after so long. I think my window has closed, but maybe I can trick my body and get it to drop some more weight. If anyone has been successful at this, can you share what you did? thanks ! — michelle T. I'm 14 mths post-op and for the past three months really haven't lost
anything. I found that those weeks when I really stick to the
"plan" --protein, water, very little carbs-- I do manage to lose
1 to 3 pounds that week. Fortunatly for me, on the weeks when I don't, I
haven't gained-- thank God -- but am very aware that I could. My exercise
regime leaves a lot to be desired so I won't even go there. As long as I
continue to very aware of what I put in my mouth, I think I'll be o.k. I
too have about 15 more lbs to go to my goal. No, I won't be skinny- I'll
still be overweight, but will be at my lowest in over 22 years, and be very
happy. We all know the basics at this stage and they really do work. Good
Luck.

Read the "pouch rules for dummies". If you follow that docs
advice, the rest will come off.

HI there... you said "I haven't been eating right" ... seems to
me, the key to dropping the last few pounds would be eating right... no
need to trick your body... maybe start with some basics.... protein, lots
of water, few carbs (complex only), not too many meals during the day or
evening.. and exercise... I know.. its easy for me to say.. but those are
the keys I think -- try them for just two days.. two days isn't too
daunting.. and then see how it goes. Maybe if you lose a pound, it will
motivate you to do it for two more.. etc...
