I am 2 1/2 months post-op, and I had to have a Cardic Clearance before surgery, all my cardiologist did was write on a script (like for a prescription) that he felt that I would benefit from the WLS. I took that script to my surgeon, and he was fine with that. I did have a high risk surgery, due to my heart. I felt very lucky that the surgeon that did my WLS had been a Heart Surgeon before he changed to doing open rny's.
