Question:
PROSCORE DRINKERS!! Have you tried drinking it hot??
I drink the Proscore 100 Chocolate and it's working well for me. However, the weather is getting cold and I'm missing my hot cocoa or coffee in the morning. I know some protien powders say not to mix with hot liquids. Have any of you tried drinking it hot?? Maybe mixed with some Instant coffee?? Just curious. Thanks!! — Jennifer H. WEll, sorta. Don't try to nuke it or heat it on the stove. You can add
"coffee pot hot" water to it, but tap water is better. I don't
at exactly what temp it separates (tastes like dirt), but that's where it
is completely useless as protein.

I'm not a Proscore drinker...although maybe I would like it now that I'm
further out and can get things down easier. Anyway, I drink Optimum
Nutrition's 100% Whey and recently decided to try it warm. What I did was
heat some water in my shaker in the microwave and then added the
protein....and it was great! Another time, though, I let the water go a
bit too long and when I went to mix it, it ended up clumpy and icky...so I
threw it out. You might just have to play around a bit with how long to
heat the water. You will never have 'scalding hot' hot chocolate, but
certainly warm enough to do the trick. Also, one word of caution....I use
those rubbermaid shaker bottles to mix my protein (it mixes better than in
a cup with a spoon)....and well, twice now, when I've gone to shake my 'hot
chocolate' I've had the cap blow off and send protein all over my kitchen!
The first time it happened it sent all four ounces out and covered every
wall, ceiling, cupboard and appliance in my 10x12 kitchen! So, you might
want to mix with caution. Now if they only made sugar free marshmallows!

I drink a "protein coffee" every morning. I pour a cup of hot
coffee into the blender and let it set for a minute or two. Then I put in a
scoop of Optimum Whey Vanilla and a couple of teaspoons of No Sugar Added
hot choc mix. Blend it and drink - I love it. I have never had success
shaking it up though - like the other poster said, it blows the top off the
shaker. Not good! A blender is best. I hsve used a little portable mixer
(hand held) while traveling and that works fine. hugs, Ann RNY 9/10/99
