Do you mean protein "loading" diet? That stresses mainly protein
from lean meat, fish, cheese and protein shakes with little less other than
vast amounts of water. It's great for knocking you off a plateau (it did
for me) but it's not recommended long term.

Protein SPARING Diets are generally for patient with moderate to severe
kidney disease and NOT for the general population. It is very low protein,
low carb and no salt. Very difficult to follow. You may be confusing it
with a Protein LOADING Diet which is generally what most MO patients and
WLS patients are put on. Check to make sure which type of diet you are
supposed to be on before you plunge in. Good Luck!
