The usual dose is 1000 mcg (micrograms) injected monthly. Many patients
start with a loading dose of 1000 mcg daily or weekly for a few days or
weeks before going to the monthly schedule.

I was getting the shot once a month but it was too hard going to the
doctors office so often. He offered to give me the stuff to give my own
shots but I didn't like that idea either. I now use the cherry dots from
GNC. You put one a day under your tongue and forget about it.

I use the sublingual B12 from Tader Joe's, works great, is easy and you
don't have to go anywhere. THe good thing is that they are
cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Usually with injections the doses are measured in cc's or ml's. I take 1ml
(or 1cc they're both the same thing) every 3 weeks. Most people take it
once a month but my levels came back a little low and I feel better taking
them every 3 weeks. My dh injects me in the arm. Good luck to you. I
simply could not remember the sublinguals every day.

Resolving the 1000 mcg vs 1 cc or 1 ml. The actual amount of the active
B-12 ingredient is 1000 mcg per 1 ml of solution...JR
