Question:
Need pregnancy belt for plus sized women
My wife is six months pregnant. She has actually lost 3 pounds so far but her body is "shifting". She talks about pregnancy belts to help support her belly but she can't find them in her plus size. Does anyone know where we could find one for a larger women. Thank you — Paul M. (posted on September 2, 2003)

Hi, a friend of mine was going through the same thing recently... here's
what I found for her, they go up to XXL... here's the site:

. Hope it helps.

P.S. It looks like it's velcro, so it may be something that if the XXL
isn't big enough, maybe two of them together would work... maybe even
sewing two of them together.

Hi Paul- Catherine's has good supportive undergarments for us large women,
I have seen them up to a 10X. They might not have exactly what you're wife
is interested in, but perhaps something similar. If there's no Catherine's
in your area, maybe they're online? Good Luck, and congrats!!!

I was 290 when I got pg with my son. I asked my OB about a belt support
thing like you are talking about. She said it is the worst thing you can
use. Sure it will bing you up and support your belly, however your muscles
will become very lazy and weak. This is not good if she is planning on a
normal delivery. The best thing she can do is do crunch type situps the
best she can to build up her tummy muscles some.

I purchased mine from JCPenny. They have plus size maternity clothes as
well as underwear, bras, sleepwear and pregnacy belts.
