Question:
Comment: To all those who hate protein shakes as much as me,
you have to try NECTAR. The APPLE ECSTASY flavor tastes like an apple jolly rancher. It's not as thick as the CARB SOLUTIONS that I was drinking and it mixes without a blender too! This stuff is great! Had to tell everyone. — Rhonda B. (posted on August 21, 2003)

Ughhh! I can't stand the Nectar drinks! I gag on them and they taste way
too sweet.

I love the Caribbean Cooler, but while the Apple tasted OK to me (not
great, but OK) - it didn't settle well on my stomach.

I just ordered a 7-pack sample from http://www.gourmetprotein.com (only
costs $4.95 for shipping) for my wife (who is also a post-op) and I to try
out. They have an interesting deal there - you buy 2 flavors, you get a
3rd jug free. Also their shipping is a flat $4.95...JR

I have no problem with protein shakes,if you make them right they can be
delicious.Take V8 Diet Splash, 10 calories per 8 oz,3 grams carbs,sweetened
with Splenda, freeze in an ice cube tray.I take 8 of the cubes put them in
my ice shaver, you can also use a blender. After the ice is shaved I add
enough of the liquid Splash to make a 16 oz glass.I add 2 scoups of no
flavor protein powder,I mix it together with the mini mixer I got at
Target. The mixer runs on batteries and is a powerful little thing. This
gives me 28 grams of protein and tastes delicious.

Isopure is coming out with a truly tasteless (not lousy tasting or wearing
plaid with stripes, but rather without any flavor) protein powder. I mixed
a sample in some crystal lite and could not detect it at all.

Unjury also now has an unflavored powder that you can't taste at all if you
mix it with slightly concentrated Crystal Lite. It can also be used in SF
pudding. But I intend on trying the Nectar for variety.

Rhonda, I'm with you. The apple nectar is wonderful!!! and I think it
tastes just like apple juice. I put a scoop of it in a large glass of
water, stir with a spoon and add crushed ice. It is great that way and by
mixing with a spoon is the same consistency as juice.

My fave is Cherry Berry, followed by the new Strawberry-Kiwi. They saved
me, because right after surgery, I couldnta stood the chocolate!
