Question:
Spiking then dropping Energy Levels?
I looked through the library but most of it is about low energy. I am wondering if anyone knows what would cause very high then very low levels of energy. I feel the same mentally so I don't think it is a depression thing. This is happening almost everyday. Any ideas? — mrsmyranow (posted on August 15, 2003)

I agree with Jenna. I don't eat alot of carbs but when I do I get the
energy crash and feel like I need a 10 minute nap. some types of carbs are
worse than others. My biggest culprit is Special K or the Protein Sport
cookies. Lisa open rny 4/26/02 -150lbs

This is what happens to me. Your body is producing a large amount of
insulin to deal with the food you eat, then you are crashing. Basically,
first very low blood sugar, due to all of the insulin in your blood stream,
then high blood sugar due to low insulin. Talk to your doctor about this.
You may need to eat more frequent, small meals.
